Since 2013

We go where
others plan to go.

Meridian was founded by two photojournalists who grew tired of waiting for the right moment. We stopped waiting and started going. Twelve years and 34 countries later, the practice has grown into a full expedition studio with a team of eight field-ready photographers and four production coordinators.

Our values

Presence over proximity

We do not shoot at safe distances. Our assignment agreements always include ground-level access clauses.

The permit problem

Fourteen years of restricted-zone access across six continents. We do not skip the paperwork; we know where to find it.

One story per trip

We do not run eight assignments in parallel. Each expedition is the only expedition until the debrief is complete.

The crew

Eight people.
Every continent.
